After studying mechanical engineering, Mechthild Harlacher began her career at a company in the energy industry, where she completed training as a patent attorney and representative before the European Patent Office. As former head of a patent department, she has extensive experience in all areas of intellectual property law in the context of an industrial company.
Mechthild Harlacher is especially familiar with all aspects of employee invention rights. She also has extensive knowledge of German and European trademark law. She further advises on the drafting of contracts, and in particular of license agreements in connection with industrial property rights, trademarks and designs.
As a commercial mediator (DAA) she is able to carry out mediation processes with a view to the specific needs of industrial property rights and the Employee Invention Act in order to avoid litigation.
