Ralf Gödde, born in 1968, studied physics and mathematics at the University of Constance and electrical engineering at the University of Siegen. He received a master's degree (diploma) in 1996 in electrical engineering with a specialization in theoretic electrical engineering and control engineering. He then worked on the scientific staff of the Institute for Control and Automated Control Engineering at the University of Siegen. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on "Modeling and Simulation of the Control of Dynamic Processes for the Formation of Structures in Vascular Systems and Their Material Transport and Distribution Capacity" in cooperation with the Anatomic Institute of the University of Freiburg. In 2001, Ralf Gödde was awarded a Ph.D. in engineering sciences by the University of Siegen. From 2000 to 2003 he worked for a leading producer of software and hardware for the development of electronic control units.
Ralf Gödde, who had since 2001 lectured at the University of Siegen on the subject of "Embedded Control" in the English-language masters program Mechatronic, started working in the field of intellectual property in 2003 at Gesthuysen. At the same time, he started his general law studies for patent attorneys at the University of Hagen. After his admission as a patent attorney, Ralf Gödde became a partner in the partnership Gesthuysen in 2006 and, since then, advises his clients in all fields of intellectual property.
